I have some batik prints, cotton. Can I use this to spray them? Also, how much does one can cover, one of the prints is 200cm x 180cm.

Tracy Carter asked on 2017-05-04 18:11:53:

I have made up blinds from linen, but they are hanging on my narrowboat and I would like to spray the outside face of the blind. Will this work on linen? Will it make my linen brittle?

COLOURLOCK UK replied on 2017-05-05 11:09:07 :

Hi Tracy, yes, this product will also work on linen. It shouldn't cause any brittleness, but we would recommend you test in a hidden area first. Best regards

Gui asked on 2017-04-11 19:29:52:

Will this also work on primeknit shoes? Just got white NMD's R2 white and red! And i tend to discolour them quickly

COLOURLOCK UK replied on 2017-04-12 15:40:23 :

Hi Gui, this product works on fabric and will waterproof the shoes. You will still need to reapply regularly every 3 months or so as the waterproofing will rub off with use due to friction. Care should still be taken when putting any fabric or leather in contact with water.

Les asked on 2016-12-14 15:24:34:

What is the difference between the Waterproofing spray and the protectant spray? I bought a new couch - not sure what type of leather it is. They said it was top grain. It has a very distressed look and is soft. It easily scratches and absorbs water. I want to protect it. It was not that expensive so I don't think it is pure aniline. What should I use to protect and waterproof it?

COLOURLOCK UK replied on 2016-12-15 09:52:13 :

Dear Les,The waterproof spray will make the leather water resistant but does not do anything to keep the leather soft and supple. The Aniline Protector on the other hand is a spray which contains oils that reduces bleaching and also keep it soft and supple. On extremely sensitive leather absorbs water straightaway, a cream or wax may not be suitable as it could end up leaving stains. In such cases, we recommend the sprays as there is less chance of causing any stains. Hope this helps. Please send some photos of by email to us at so we can advise further.
