I have applied leather protector to my 3 YO BMW interior but it leaves a bit too shinny/glossy look on the leather. Should I use a different product? Thank you

COLOURLOCK UK replied on 2021-11-04 18:06:23 :

Hi, Our Leather Protector contains oils to nourish the leather. If there is shiny finish it is probably becasue it was applied too much. Just please clean the leather again with Leather Cleaner and apply tin layer of the Leather Protector. Best Regards

Sherry asked on 2021-03-02 18:13:07:

We have two new aniline leather couches. I did the water test and they are semi-porous. We live at high altitude and so the sun is very strong, even when indirect. I want to protect them and am unsure which products I should use to begin with and for maintenance. Can you guide me on what to use?

COLOURLOCK UK replied on 2021-03-03 11:26:20 :

Please send us a couple of good quality photos of the couches to info@colourlock.com, so we can better recommend suitable products to protect the leather. Best regards.

I have a 2017 Audi Q7 with Cedar Brown perforated heated and cooled leather seats. What would you recommend as a maintenance and conditioning and protector program for these seats? Thank you.

COLOURLOCK UK replied on 2019-06-05 11:47:29 :

Hi Charles, As the car is less than 3 years old, we recommend our Leather Shield Cleaning & Conditioning Kit for new leather. Clean the leather with the Mild Leather Cleaner First, the apply our Leather Shield to protect the leather from dye transfer and friction damage. For more information, please email us on info@colourlock.com. Best regards.

Colin Anderson asked on 2018-04-27 19:08:08:

Hi I have a new leather retrim and would like to protect it but unsure which product to use shield or protector please advise .

COLOURLOCK UK replied on 2018-04-30 16:12:45 :

Hi Colin,New leather should be treated with our COLOURLOCK Leather Shield within the first three years to protect it against traces of wear and abrasion, as well as discolouration from clothing dye transfer. The driver's seat entry bolsters of sports seats and high support cushions usually begin showing typical signs of wear over the first three years. Leather Shield will prevent this. Treat the driver's seat every three months, the rest of the leather every six to twelve months.Best Regards.
